Want to experience the best of South African Wine Estates....but on the banks of the Vaal River? Then treat yourselves to the popular annual Vaal River Wine Route which provides pleasant and charming relief during the dull winter months of July and August. There are about 9 different venues on and around the banks of the Vaal River that have been carefully selected to show case the wines from over 30 premier South African Wine estates.
This year, we are proud to host an unusual and fun winery. Where thought and passion is not only put into their wine wine making, but there packaging as well. We agree that wine tasting should not just be prim and proper, but entertaining as well.
Liquid Lounge presents "Boer & Brit"
Once they were bitter enemies in the Anglo-Boer War. The on was a Boer, the president of the country. The other a Brit, a famous general who led the relief of Kimberely. President Kruger and Field Marshal French died as enemies.
Now, more than a hundred years later, the two direct descendents have joined forces. Stefan Gerber a great, great grandson of Paul Kruger and Alexander Milner a great, great grandson of John French have together, created Boer & Brit. There wines are intence and genuine, like the battle their ancestors fought long ago.
The top-tier Boer & Brit wines are meant to inspire conversation, elicit debat and be enjoyed to the utmost with generous fare and equally ample helpings of friends. These wines are limited volume productions and structured for either early-consuption or careful cellaring.
