Come and experience the Vaal River like never before. It is the perfect weekend getaway for a family of 4. Although she doesn’t cruise, she has the best river front view and you’ll be able to enjoy the constant feel of being on water. There are two cabins en-suite, open plan kitchen and lounge area inter-leading onto a massive deck with dining table and braai facility. Full DSTV bouquet and supremely kitted out with comfortable, modern furnishings. It is moored at the Emerald Marina, you are more than welcome to take part or use Emerald Resort & Casino facilities.

MIDWEEK (MONDAY – THURSDAY)
Winter rates (June – August) | R3025 p/n
Summer rates (September – May) | R3600 p/n

WEEKEND RATES (FRIDAY – SUNDAY & PUBLIC HOLIDAYS)
Winter rates (June – August) R3500 p/n
Summer rates (September – May) R3950 p/n
** Minimum of a two-night stay required over weekends and public holidays

HOLDING / SECURITY DEPOSIT
We require a R3000 holding / security deposit over and above hiring fee. This will be refunded after
check out if nothing is damaged or missing.

Booking Information

Bookings are made per boat charter, from 1-4 guests
Check in / out times are determined upon booking
We supply an equipped kitchen and braai facility | All crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided
Cleaning staff are provided once a day, times for their services are discussed on your arrival
We do provide basic bathroom amenities

We have 2 luxury Queen cabins en suite with
shower basin and toilet
Each Cabin has its own plug points
Hot water for showering
Open plan kitchen and lounge, leading onto outdoor
deck lounge, Internet TV.

Where to Board

The ‘House of Zia’ houseboat is permanently moored
at the Emerald Resort & Casino in Vanderbijlpark.
Upon booking confirmation, you will be given detailed
directions & procedures on where to go and how to
board the houseboat you have booked

Safety

The boats itself has been issued with a license as per SAMSA requirements and regulations
Facilities on board don’t keep young children entertained, but great land-based activities at Emerald resort can keep them busy
Safe parking right outside your jetty within the resort and only boat guests have access to Marina
